Bihar College of Pharmacy was established in 1979. It is one of the best B.Pharma college in Patna. The college has been recognized by the UGC, Govt of India under the UGC Act 1956. It is affiliated with Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The college has a vision of being one of the major world-class institutes for Pharmaceutical Institute and Research. The college offers outstanding placement opportunities for the students. Infrastructure and facilities :

• Bihar College of Pharmacy provides all the facilities that are required for the students on a daily basis. The students can easily avail the things they want within the campus. Also, there are facilities that enable students to learn their subjects practically. Below are some of the facilities mentioned:
• There is an animal house on the campus that is used for testing any drug on an animal before being directed to any human. These have been done for research purposes and are approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee.
• The facilities of archives and museums include collections that can be used for personal and educational purposes and the museum acts as a big hall with all the antique collections of pharmaceutical appliances, prescriptions, hand-blown apothecary bottles, etc. The central instrumentation facility on the campus is equipped with all the sophisticated equipment that is needed for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences.
• The college has a computer and language lab with more than 30 computers in it with a high-speed broadband internet connection. The lab is installed with all the systems and software. The college has a big examination hall that can accommodate 200 students and facilitate them with all the necessary facilities like drinking water, and separate toilets for students.
• The college preserves a herbal garden that has more than 100 medicinal plants or herbs for the educational sight of the students and visitors. The library has a seating capacity of 100 students and is equipped with more than 5000 documents such as books, journals, CDs, DVDs, etc. Furthermore, it also has a separate section that has collections of dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, etc. There is a machine room with all the sophisticated machinery that has been used for the formulation of tablets, capsules, and other dosage forms such as Ball Mill, Hammer Mill, Cutter Mill, etc.
• The research laboratory is where the pharmaceutics department circumscribes clinical investigations in drug delivery and biopharmaceutics. For the improvement of product effectiveness and safety, drug delivery technologies change drug release profiles, absorption, distribution, etc.
• There is a big seminar hall with a capacity of 200 seats with high-speed networking facilities, LCD projectors, overhead projectors, etc that is used for presentations, seminars, expert lectures, training programs, workshops, etc. 

Placement and Training:

The Bihar College of Pharmacy Placement and Training Cell assists the students in their placements by organizing various programs like seminars, workshops, and training which help in developing their personality, improving skills, general awareness, etc. Placement cells arrange both on-campus and off-campus recruitment processes for the students. The students are placed both within the country and abroad. The GPAT counseling helps the students prepare for the GPAT examination and motivates the students to participate in the tests organized at the college. The training cell organizes training programs for the students in cooperation with pharmaceutical companies that enable the students to gain experience in industrial professional training. The training & placement cells organize workshops like classroom interaction, group discussion, quizzes, IQ Tests, mock interviews, etc, and also organize guest lectures by consultants, academicians, and motivators. The college also organizes an educational Industrial tour in their final year for the students in different pharmaceutical centers of India to provide them a professional sight into the pharmaceutical sector.
